Possible Causes

Unplugged or broken oven temperature sensor, Open sensor harness, Damaged connector at control board, Failed temperature sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before removing panels or handling wiring.

  • Access sensor: Open the oven door and locate the temperature sensor probe on the rear interior wall. Remove the mounting screws and gently pull the sensor forward to access the connector.
  • Check connection: Ensure the sensor plug is fully seated in the harness. If it has come loose, reconnect it securely.
  • Test resistance: With the sensor unplugged, measure resistance across the sensor leads. Around 1080–1100 Ω at room temperature is typical. If the reading is infinite (open) or extremely high, replace the sensor.
  • Inspect harness: If the sensor is in range, check continuity from the sensor connector to the EOC connector using a multimeter. Repair or replace any open wiring.
  • Replace sensor: If the sensor is faulty, install a new oven temperature sensor probe compatible with your Thor Kitchen model and reassemble.
