Possible Causes

Corrupted EOC firmware, Failed relay on control board, Incorrect line voltage, Loose neutral or line connection at terminal block

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker. Verify power is off with a non-contact voltage tester before touching wiring.

  • Check power supply: Inspect the rear terminal block where the power cord connects. Tighten any loose L1, L2, or neutral screws. Look for burned or discolored terminals and replace the terminal block if damaged.
  • Verify voltage: With a multimeter and power restored (only if you are qualified), confirm 240 VAC across L1–L2 and 120 VAC from each leg to neutral. Incorrect voltage can trigger control errors.
  • Reset control: Turn power off for 10 minutes to allow the EOC to fully discharge, then restore power. If F5 returns immediately, the control board is likely defective.
  • Replace EOC: Remove the backguard panel, label and disconnect all harnesses from the EOC, and install a new electronic oven control board programmed for your Thor Kitchen model.
