Possible Causes

Membrane keypad shorted, Moisture ingress behind control panel, Damaged keypad ribbon cable, Failed touch control interface on EOC

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before removing the control panel.

  • Dry and clean: If the panel was recently cleaned or exposed to steam, allow it to dry for several hours with power off. Do not spray cleaners directly on the keypad; spray a cloth instead.
  • Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel trim to access the keypad ribbon. Check for kinks, tears, or corrosion at the connector. Clean contacts with a dry, lint‑free cloth and reseat firmly.
  • Test keypad response: Restore power and press each key. If F7 appears when a specific key is pressed or without pressing any keys, the keypad is likely shorted.
  • Replace keypad or control panel: Install a new control panel / keypad assembly specific to your Thor Kitchen range. On some models, the keypad is integrated with the EOC and must be replaced as a complete module.
