Possible Causes
Household power outage, Loose power cord or terminal block connection, Tripped breaker, Voltage drop under load
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: If you smell burning or see smoke, disconnect power immediately and do not reuse the appliance until inspected.
- Reset clock: Press Cancel or Clear, then set the time. PF alone after an outage is normal.
- Check power source: Verify the range's breaker is fully in the ON position and not partially tripped. Reset if necessary.
- Inspect terminal block: Disconnect power, pull the range out, and remove the rear cover to inspect the terminal block. Tighten loose screws and replace any burned terminals or melted wiring.
- Monitor for recurrence: If PF appears frequently without known outages, have an electrician check for voltage drops or loose connections in the home wiring.
