Possible Causes
Range not receiving 120 VAC, Failed spark module, Loose or disconnected igniter harness, Defective ignition switch in burner knob
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn all burner knobs to OFF. If you smell gas, ventilate the area immediately and shut off the gas supply at the shutoff valve. Do not create sparks or flames.
- Verify power: Confirm the range is plugged in and the outlet has 120 VAC by testing with another appliance. Reset any tripped GFCI or breaker.
- Check for clicking: Turn a burner knob to Lite. If there is no clicking on any burner, suspect the spark module or power supply.
- Inspect wiring: Disconnect power, remove the rear or side panels, and locate the spark module. Ensure all igniter wires and the power connector are firmly attached.
- Test ignition switches: Each burner valve has a small switch. With a multimeter, test for continuity when the knob is turned to Lite. Replace any defective ignition switch harness.
- Replace spark module: If power is present and switches are good but no burners spark, replace the spark module.
