Possible Causes
Aging oven temperature sensor, Miscalibrated EOC, Poor rack placement or blocked airflow, Door not sealing properly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the oven to cool before removing racks or touching the sensor.
- Verify with thermometer: Place an oven-safe thermometer in the center of the oven and preheat to 350°F. Compare the displayed temperature to the thermometer reading after 15–20 minutes.
- Adjust calibration: Many Thor Kitchen models allow temperature offset in the settings menu (e.g., +/- 35°F). Refer to your manual to adjust the calibration to match the actual temperature.
- Inspect sensor: If the offset required is large (>25°F), test the oven temperature sensor resistance at room temperature and replace if out of spec.
- Check door seal: Inspect the door gasket for gaps, tears, or compression. Replace the oven door gasket if it does not seal evenly.
