Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the hob off with the main power switch and, if accessible, switch off the circuit breaker before touching any internal parts. Allow the glass surface to cool completely.
User checks:
- Verify that the pan is induction-compatible (base should attract a magnet) and that its diameter matches the marked cooking zone.
- Ensure the pan base is flat and fully covers the zone marking.
- Clean the glass ceramic surface with a soft cloth and glass hob cleaner; remove any moisture, sugar spills, or food residues over the affected zone.
- Try another known-good induction pan on the same zone and then on a different zone to compare behavior.
Technical checks (qualified person only):
- Disconnect power. Remove the hob from the worktop and open the underside cover.
- Inspect the wiring harness from the user interface board to the induction power module for loose connectors or damaged insulation.
- Check the pan detection coil and sensor wiring on the affected power module for continuity and secure seating.
- If the zone consistently shows F1 with correct cookware and wiring is intact, the induction power module for that zone is likely defective and should be replaced following V-ZUG service documentation.
