Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off the hob and disconnect from mains if removing from the worktop.
User checks:
- Clean and dry the glass surface thoroughly, especially around the control area.
- Remove any metallic objects, cloths, or covers from the control zone.
- After at least 10 minutes, restore power and test the controls again.
Technical checks (qualified person only):
- Access the underside and locate the touch control PCB.
- Inspect the ribbon cable between the touch panel and the main control board; reseat connectors.
- Check for signs of liquid damage or corrosion on the touch PCB.
- If a specific key appears permanently activated, the capacitive sensor on the PCB may be defective.
Repair: Replace the touch control panel / user interface PCB if cleaning and reseating cables do not resolve the F5 error. Ensure the new panel is correctly calibrated according to V-ZUG procedures.
