Safety first: Turn all burner knobs to OFF and close the gas supply valve. Disconnect the cooktop from mains (unplug or switch off breaker).

- Dry the cooktop thoroughly, especially around the knobs and burners. If there was a recent spill, allow several hours for internal moisture to evaporate.
- Do not use the cooktop until clicking stops when power is restored.
