Possible Causes
Overheated glass surface, blocked ventilation, failed temperature sensor on burner, control misreading temperature
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off all burners and allow the cooktop to cool completely.
- Remove hot cookware: Take pans off the affected zone and wait until the glass is cool to the touch.
- Check ventilation: Ensure there is adequate airflow under and around the cooktop and that vents are not blocked.
- Reset power: After cooling, reset power at the breaker. If E2 returns immediately on a cool surface, the sensor or burner module may be faulty.
- Replace burner module: Access the underside of the cooktop and replace the affected burner or sensor assembly.
