Wolf range oven door remains locked after self-clean; display shows E09 and the door cannot be opened.

Safety first: Allow the oven to cool completely. Disconnect power at the breaker before attempting mechanical release.

• Power reset: Turn the breaker off for 5 minutes, then back on. Sometimes the control will cycle the lock motor and release the door.
• Manual release: Consult the Wolf use & care or service manual for your model. Many ranges have a manual lock release accessible from the top or rear. Remove the appropriate panel and gently move the lock lever to the unlock position.
• Inspect latch and gasket: Once open, inspect the door latch and gasket for warping or damage from self-clean temperatures. Replace damaged parts.
• Test lock operation: With power restored, start and cancel a self-clean cycle to verify the lock engages and releases. If E09 recurs, the lock motor assembly or control board may need replacement.
