Possible Causes
Non-magnetic or undersized cookware, Faulty pan detection sensor, Open induction coil, Failed power module for that zone
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the cooktop and disconnect power at the breaker before opening any panels.
- Verify cookware: Use a flat-bottomed, ferromagnetic pan (a magnet should stick firmly to the base). Ensure the pan size matches or exceeds the marked cooking zone.
- Center the pan: Place the pan in the center of the zone and try again. Some Wolf induction zones are sensitive to pan placement.
- Test other zones: If other zones work with the same pan, the issue is isolated to one zone.
- Internal checks (advanced): With power disconnected, remove the cooktop from the counter and open the underside panel. Inspect the induction coil and wiring harness for burns or breaks. Check connectors at the power module.
- Module diagnosis: If the coil and wiring appear intact, the power module for that zone may be defective and should be replaced by a Wolf-authorized technician due to high-voltage components.
