Possible Causes
Weak hot surface igniter, Partially restricted bake burner, Failing oven gas valve, Incorrect oven temperature sensor calibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off gas and power before accessing internal oven components. Allow the oven to cool.
- Observe ignition: With the oven reassembled, start a bake cycle and watch through the window. If the igniter glows for a long time before the burner lights or cycles frequently, the igniter may be weak.
- Replace igniter: Remove the oven bottom panel, disconnect the igniter, and install a new Wolf-compatible hot surface igniter.
- Clean burner: Inspect the bake burner for rust or debris blocking the flame ports. Clean with a wire brush and vacuum.
- Check temperature sensor: Test the oven temperature sensor resistance at room temperature (around 1050–1100 Ω). Replace if out of range.
