Possible Causes
Tripped house breaker on one leg of 240V supply, Failed bake and broil elements, Faulty oven relay on control board, Loose wiring at terminal block
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before inspecting wiring or elements.
- Check breakers: For dual-fuel ranges, two linked breakers supply 240V. Ensure both are fully ON. Reset if tripped.
- Test elements: With power off, access the rear of the oven and disconnect the bake and broil element terminals. Check each element for continuity with a multimeter. Replace any open element.
- Inspect terminal block: Remove the rear cover and inspect the terminal block for burnt or loose connections. Tighten screws and replace any damaged parts.
- Control board: If elements and wiring are good but no heat, the oven relay on the control board may have failed and the board should be replaced.
When to call a technician: If you are not comfortable testing live voltage or replacing elements, have a professional perform these checks.
