Possible Causes
Blocked air vents between freezer and fridge, Failed fridge circulation fan, Iced-up air channels due to defrost issue, Damper control stuck closed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Basic checks:
- Ensure food items are not blocking the air vents at the back or sides of the fridge compartment.
- Verify that the freezer is cooling properly; if not, address freezer cooling first.
Fan and damper:
- Listen for the fridge compartment fan (if fitted) when the door is closed (press the door switch to simulate closed door). If the fan does not run, it may be faulty or iced up.
- Check for frost or ice around the air outlets; if present, unplug the unit and perform a full manual defrost.
- On models with a motorized damper, access the damper assembly (usually in the upper rear of the fridge) and check for obstruction or ice. Replace the damper if it does not move freely.
After defrost and checks: Restore power and allow 12–24 hours for temperatures to stabilize. If H2 persists, the fan motor or control board may require replacement.
