Display shows dO or DO and an audible alarm sounds; refrigerator reports door open even when door is closed.

Safety first: You can test the door switch with power on, but unplug the unit before removing switch assemblies.

• Confirm door closure: Open and firmly close each door. Check for items sticking out of bins or shelves that may prevent full closure.
• Inspect gasket: Look for tears, gaps, or warped sections of the door gasket. Clean gasket with warm soapy water and dry to improve sealing.
• Test door switch: Locate the door switch plunger near the top or side frame. Press it in and out; the interior light should turn on/off. If the light stays on or off regardless of switch position, the switch or wiring is faulty.
• Replace door switch (if faulty):
  • Unplug the refrigerator.
  • Pry the switch out gently with a plastic putty knife.
  • Disconnect the wiring harness connector.
  • Connect the new switch and snap it back into place.
• Check door alignment: If the door is sagging, adjust the hinge screws slightly while supporting the door to ensure proper contact with the switch.
