Display shows E5; ice maker or ice compartment temperature may be incorrect, causing poor ice production.

• Locate ice compartment sensor: On models with a separate ice box, the thermistor is usually behind the ice compartment cover or near the ice maker housing.
• Inspect wiring: Check for pinched or broken wires, especially where they pass through the door hinge area.
• Test thermistor: Disconnect and measure resistance at room temperature. Compare to spec; replace if out of range.
• Check connectors: Ensure all plugs at the control board and ice compartment are fully seated.
• Replace sensor or harness: If the sensor is faulty, install a new one. If wiring is damaged, replace the harness section as available.
