Refrigerator makes loud buzzing or humming noise, especially when compressor starts or runs.

• 1. Level the unit: Use a level to check front-to-back and side-to-side. Adjust leveling feet until stable and no rocking occurs.
• 2. Inspect rear components: Remove the rear access panel. Check that the condenser fan shroud and compressor mounting bolts are secure.
• 3. Clear fan obstructions: Remove any debris contacting the fan blades. Gently bend any bent shroud away from the blade.
• 4. Isolate vibrations: Place thin rubber pads under the compressor mounting plate or under the refrigerator feet to reduce transmitted noise.
• 5. If compressor itself is extremely loud: A failing compressor can be noisy and may require professional replacement.
