Refrigerator runs constantly and rarely shuts off, but temperatures are acceptable

Safety first: Unplug the appliance before cleaning coils or moving it.

• Check temperature settings: Set fridge to about +4 °C and freezer to -18 °C. Avoid the coldest settings.
• Clean condenser: Remove rear/bottom panel and clean coils thoroughly with a brush and vacuum.
• Improve ventilation: Ensure adequate space around the fridge and that warm air can escape from the back and top.
• Inspect door seals: Look for condensation around doors, which can indicate leaks. Replace damaged gaskets.
• Allow time: After cleaning and adjustments, monitor run time over several days. In hot weather, longer run times are normal.
