How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator before removing any freezer panels.
Step-by-step:
- Verify temperature: Use a freezer thermometer to check actual temperature. Compare to the display.
- Locate the sensor: In many Beko models, the freezer sensor is behind the rear interior panel of the freezer, near the evaporator.
- Access the rear panel: Remove drawers and shelves. Unscrew the rear panel inside the freezer. Carefully pull it forward; watch for attached wires.
- Inspect the sensor: Find the small probe clipped to the evaporator or mounted on the panel. Check for broken insulation, corrosion, or ice encasement.
- Check wiring: Follow the sensor wires to the connector. Ensure it is firmly connected and not pinched or cut.
- Defrost ice: If the evaporator and sensor are heavily iced, fully defrost the unit (doors open, towels on floor). Ice can cause false readings.
- Replace sensor: If damage is visible or E2 persists after defrost, replace the freezer NTC sensor with the correct Beko part.
Warning: Do not use sharp tools to remove ice; you can puncture the evaporator and cause irreparable damage.
