Possible Causes
Clogged drain hole with food debris, Frozen drain tube, Misaligned drain funnel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator before working inside compartments.
Steps to clear the drain:
- 1. Locate the drain: In many Belling fridges, the drain hole is at the back of the fridge or freezer compartment, just below the evaporator cover.
- 2. Clear visible debris: Use a soft brush or cotton swab to remove food particles or slime from the drain opening.
- 3. Flush with warm water: Using a turkey baster or syringe, gently squirt warm (not boiling) water into the drain until it flows freely to the rear drip tray.
- 4. Defrost frozen drain: If water does not pass, leave the unit unplugged with doors open for several hours to thaw the drain tube, then repeat flushing.
- 5. Clean drip tray: Access the rear of the fridge and clean the drain pan to prevent odors.
