Display shows EA and the ice maker does not produce ice or stops mid-cycle.

Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator and turn off the ice maker (switch or control setting) before working on it.

Clear jams:

• Remove the ice bin and inspect the ice maker for stuck or oversized cubes.
• Gently remove any jammed ice with a plastic utensil; do not use metal tools that can damage the mold.

Reset the ice maker:

• Some Blomberg models have a test or reset button on the ice maker module. Press and hold as specified in the user manual to initiate a test cycle.
• Restore power and observe if the ice maker completes a full cycle without error.

Inspect wiring:

• Check the harness between the ice maker and the cabinet for loose connections or damage.

Note: If EA returns after clearing jams and resetting, the ice maker assembly or its motor is likely defective and should be replaced as a complete unit.
