Refrigerator not cooling at all, both fridge and freezer are warm, interior lights work but no cooling.

Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator before removing rear panels. High voltage is present at the compressor terminals.

Basic checks:

• Listen for compressor: with the unit plugged in, you should hear a low hum or feel vibration at the compressor. If it is silent and warm, it may be stalled or not receiving power.
• Check the condenser fan: if the fan at the back bottom is not running when the unit calls for cooling, there may be a control or power issue.

Inspect start components:

• Unplug the unit and remove the cover on the side of the compressor.
• Inspect the start relay/PTC and overload for signs of burning or rattling pieces inside.
• Replacing a suspect relay/overload is often a straightforward repair and can restore operation if the compressor itself is good.

Important: If the compressor hums then clicks off repeatedly, or if it draws high current and overheats, the compressor may be mechanically locked and require professional sealed-system service or replacement.
