Possible Causes
Water supply off, Frozen water line in door, Clogged water filter, Faulty dispenser switch or valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Initial checks:
- Confirm water supply valve is open.
- Replace the water filter if it is old or suspected clogged.
Frozen line:
- If the freezer is very cold, the water line in the door may freeze. Raise the freezer temperature slightly and leave the door closed for several hours to thaw.
Dispenser switch:
- Listen for a click or hum from the valve when pressing the lever. If silent, the switch or control may be faulty.
Note: Electrical testing of the valve and switch should be done with power safety in mind; consider a technician if unsure.
