Safety: Unplug the refrigerator and close the water supply valve before working on the ice maker.

Steps:

1. Check ice maker switch: Ensure the ice maker is turned on (lever down or switch on, depending on model).
2. Inspect fill tube: Look for ice blocking the tube where water enters the ice maker. Thaw with warm air or a cloth soaked in warm water.
3. Test water supply: Activate the water dispenser (if present) to confirm water flow. If weak, address water supply or inlet valve issues.
4. Force cycle (if possible): Use the test button on the ice maker to start a cycle. If it does not move or fill, the module or valve may be faulty.
5. Replace components: Replace a defective ice maker assembly or water inlet valve as needed.

Note: After repair, allow several hours for the first batch of ice to be produced.
