Possible Causes

Faulty refrigerator temperature sensor,Sensor not properly positioned,Control board not responding to sensor input,User settings set too cold

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing sensors or control boards.

Steps to correct overcooling:

  • 1. Check settings: Ensure the fridge temperature is set to around 3–5°C, not the coldest setting.
  • 2. Avoid blocking sensor: Do not place food directly against the sensor cover on the rear or side wall. Allow air to circulate.
  • 3. Inspect sensor location: Verify the sensor is clipped in place and not hanging loose or touching the evaporator directly.
  • 4. Replace sensor if needed: If the unit continues to run excessively and freeze items, the sensor may be out of calibration. Replace the refrigerator compartment NTC sensor.
  • 5. Control board: If a new sensor does not resolve the issue, the control board may be stuck in a run condition and require replacement.

Note: Overcooling can damage produce and beverages; address promptly.
