Refrigerator lights flicker or stay off, E08 on display

Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator before removing light covers or touching wiring.

Checks:

• Door switch test: Press the door switch manually with the door open. If lights do not respond, the issue may be with the switch or lighting circuit.
• Inspect LED modules: Remove the light cover (usually clips or small screws). Look for burnt or discolored LED boards.
• Check connections: Ensure the light module connector is firmly seated and wiring is not damaged.
• Module replacement: If one module is clearly failed (burn marks, cracked board), replace it with the correct Bosch LED module. Many models use series-connected modules; one bad module can affect others.
• Reset: After replacement, unplug the unit for 5 minutes and restore power to clear the error.

Warning: Do not bypass or modify the lighting circuit. If multiple modules fail or the driver on the control board is suspected, contact a technician.
