Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator before removing rear panels. Do not attempt to open the sealed system.

Steps:

• Listen for operation: After plugging in, listen at the back. If you hear repeated clicking every few minutes with no sustained humming, the start relay or compressor may be failing.
• Inspect start relay: Remove the rear lower panel, locate the small module attached to the compressor terminals, and gently remove it. Shake it lightly; if it rattles or smells burnt, it is likely bad.
• Replace relay/overload: Install a new Bosch-compatible start device, matching wiring exactly.
• Check control settings: Ensure the unit is not in demo mode and that cooling is turned on in the control panel.

Note: If a new start device does not restore operation, the compressor or control board may be defective. These repairs should be performed by a qualified technician.
