Possible Causes

One or more thermistors out of calibration, Poor sensor placement, Control board ADC fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing sensors or the control board.

Step 1 – Verify actual temperatures:

  • Place a reliable thermometer in the refrigerator and freezer compartments.
  • Compare actual temperatures to the displayed values.

Step 2 – Check all thermistors:

  • Individually test refrigerator, freezer, evaporator, and ambient sensors as described in earlier steps (E1–E3, E7).
  • Replace any sensor with abnormal resistance readings.

Step 3 – Inspect control board:

  • If all sensors test correctly but E17 persists, the analog‑to‑digital converter or related circuitry on the main PCB may be faulty.
  • Replace the main control board if necessary.
