How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator before accessing the control board.
Step 1 – Reset control:
- Disconnect power for 10–15 minutes to reset the control logic.
- Restore power and monitor operation for 24 hours.
Step 2 – Verify sensors:
- Ensure evaporator and compartment thermistors are functioning correctly (see E1–E3).
Step 3 – Replace main control board:
- If E20 persists and sensors are good, the defrost timing function on the PCB is likely defective.
- Replace the main control board following standard procedures.
