Refrigerator not cold enough, compressor and fans running but temperatures remain high

Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator before cleaning coils or working near the compressor.

Step 1 – Clean condenser coils:

• Access the coils at the back or underneath the unit.
• Use a vacuum and soft brush to remove dust and lint thoroughly.

Step 2 – Check condenser fan:

• Verify that the fan near the compressor spins freely and runs when the compressor is on.
• Replace the fan motor if it does not run or is noisy.

Step 3 – Inspect door gaskets:

• Look for gaps, tears, or hardened seals.
• Close a sheet of paper in the door; if it pulls out easily, the gasket may need adjustment or replacement.

Step 4 – Improve internal airflow:

• Avoid blocking vents with food items.
• Do not overpack shelves; allow air to circulate.
