How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No internal electrical work is required for this issue. Do not disassemble panels.
- 1. Confirm lack of cooling: Place a thermometer in the fresh food and freezer sections. If temperatures remain near room temperature while fans and lights operate, demo mode is likely active.
- 2. Exit demo mode via controls: On most Café models, press and hold specific button combinations (e.g., Refrigerator Temp and Freezer Temp together for 3–5 seconds, or consult your user manual). The display should beep and return to normal temperature display.
- 3. Power cycle: If the code persists, unplug the refrigerator for 5 minutes, then plug back in and repeat the demo-mode exit procedure.
- 4. Verify cooling resumes: After exiting demo mode, allow 12–24 hours for temperatures to reach setpoints. Check that the compressor and fans are running periodically.
- 5. If demo mode cannot be cleared: The user interface or main control may be corrupted and require replacement by a technician.
