Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator before removing any ice bucket or interior panels. Beware of sharp plastic edges and ice.

• 1. Remove the ice bucket: Pull out the ice bin from the door or freezer compartment. Check for clumped ice or frost blocking the air passages.
• 2. Inspect for frost buildup: Look behind the ice bucket area for heavy frost or ice around the fan vents. Excess frost can stop the fan from turning.
• 3. Defrost the ice compartment: Leave the freezer door open and power off for several hours, or use a hair dryer on a low, warm setting to gently melt ice (keep the dryer moving and away from plastic surfaces). Do not use sharp tools to chip ice.
• 4. Check fan operation: After defrosting and restoring power, close the doors and wait 5–10 minutes. Then open the door and listen near the ice compartment for the fan running. If silent and no airflow is felt, the fan motor may be defective.
• 5. Inspect wiring: With power off, access the fan by removing the inner cover (if user-serviceable). Check that the fan connector is fully seated and wires are not damaged.
• 6. Replace fan if needed: If the fan blade is free to spin by hand but does not run under power, replace the ice compartment fan motor with a Café-compatible part.
