Possible Causes

Door left open, Excessive warm food load, Failed evaporator fan, Defective door gasket allowing warm air ingress

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: No internal electrical work is required for initial checks; unplug only if removing panels.

Steps:

  • 1. Check doors: Ensure all doors are fully closed and not obstructed by food items or shelves.
  • 2. Inspect door seals: Run your hand around the gasket while the door is closed to feel for cold air leaks. Look for splits or gaps in the CDA door gasket.
  • 3. Reduce load: If you recently added a large quantity of warm food, allow 12–24 hours for temperatures to stabilize. Avoid blocking air vents.
  • 4. Check fan operation: With the door switch held closed, listen for the evaporator fan running. If silent, investigate the fan motor and defrost system.
  • 5. Reset alarm: Most CDA models allow you to silence the alarm by pressing the alarm or set button. If the alarm returns repeatedly, further diagnosis of cooling components is needed.

Note: Persistent high temperature alarms after basic checks indicate a cooling system or control fault that may require professional service.
