Compressor or Condenser Fan Noise
Loud humming or buzzing noise from the rear of the refrigerator.

Possible Causes
Vibrating compressor mounting, Noisy condenser fan motor, Loose rear panel or pipes touching cabinet, Appliance not level
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance before touching the compressor or fan area.
Steps:
- 1. Level the appliance: Adjust the front feet so the CDA fridge is stable and does not rock. Many noises are amplified by poor leveling.
- 2. Check rear panel and pipes: Ensure the metal or cardboard rear cover is securely screwed in place and that copper pipes are not touching each other or the cabinet.
- 3. Inspect condenser fan (if fitted): On some models, a fan cools the condenser at the rear. Check for debris in the blades and ensure the CDA condenser fan motor is firmly mounted.
- 4. Compressor mounts: Verify that the rubber compressor mounts are intact and not perished. Replace if the compressor is rattling excessively.
- 5. Professional help: If the compressor itself is internally noisy (knocking or grinding), consult a refrigeration engineer.
Note: A low-level hum is normal; sudden changes or very loud noises are not.
