Possible Causes
Frozen water line in door, Faulty dispenser microswitch, Kinked internal water tube, Child lock enabled on control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off water supply and unplug the appliance before accessing dispenser components.
Steps:
- 1. Check control lock: Ensure the dispenser is not disabled by a child lock function on the CDA control panel.
- 2. Test switch: Press the dispenser lever and listen for a click. If absent, the microswitch may be faulty.
- 3. Inspect door tube: The water line running through the door can freeze in very cold kitchens. Gently warm the door area around the dispenser to thaw.
- 4. Replace switch or tube: If the switch is defective, replace the CDA dispenser microswitch. If the tube is kinked or damaged, replace the dispenser water tube.
Note: After thawing, consider slightly increasing fridge temperature to prevent re-freezing of the door line.
