Possible Causes
Normal refrigerant expansion sounds, High fan speed due to warm load, Air passing through restricted vents
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No disassembly is usually required.
Steps:
- 1. Check vents: Ensure internal vents are not blocked by food packages, which can cause turbulent airflow.
- 2. Load distribution: Avoid packing food tightly against the rear wall; leave space for air circulation.
- 3. Monitor duration: Short periods of whooshing during compressor operation are normal. Continuous very loud noise may indicate a fan issue, which should be inspected.
Note: Refrigerant flow sounds are generally harmless and not a fault.
