Possible Causes

Loose wiring harness between display PCB and main control board, Oxidized or burnt connector pins on main PCB, Failed main control board (Cecotec inverter board), Failed user interface/display PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator from the mains before removing any panels. Do not work on live circuits.

  • Power reset: Disconnect the refrigerator from power for 5–10 minutes, then plug it back in. Sometimes E0 is a transient communication error.
  • Inspect top/front display connections: Remove the display/control panel (usually clipped in from the front). Check the low‑voltage harness going from the display PCB to the cabinet. Ensure the connector is fully seated and not corroded.
  • Access main control board: Pull the refrigerator away from the wall. Remove the rear lower metal cover to access the Cecotec main control/inverter board. Look for loose multi‑pin connectors, burnt spots, or swollen capacitors.
  • Reseat connectors: One by one, unplug and firmly re‑plug the harnesses between the main board and the display harness. Do not bend pins.
  • Test operation: Restore power and check if E0 clears. If the code returns immediately, the main control board or display PCB is likely defective and should be replaced.
  • When to call a technician: If you see burnt components on the main board or are not comfortable testing live voltages, contact an authorized Cecotec service center.
