Possible Causes
Stuck touch key on glass panel, Moisture ingress behind control panel, Loose ribbon cable between UI and main board, Failed user interface PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the refrigerator before removing the control panel.
- Dry the panel: If condensation or liquid has contacted the control area, wipe it dry and leave the doors open for 30–60 minutes with the unit unplugged.
- Inspect connections: Remove the control panel trim and check the ribbon cable or harness between the touch panel and the main board. Reseat it carefully.
- Check for physical damage: Look for cracks in the glass or signs of corrosion on the PCB.
- Replace UI board: If keys remain unresponsive or E15 persists, replace the Cecotec user interface/control panel PCB.
- Test: Restore power and verify normal button response and that E15 is cleared.
