Possible Causes
Failed condenser fan motor, Obstruction from dust or debris, Loose or burnt fan connector, Faulty main control board fan driver
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the refrigerator before working at the rear.
- Access condenser fan: Remove the lower rear cover. The condenser fan is located near the compressor and condenser coil.
- Clean area: Vacuum dust from the condenser coil and fan blades. Ensure nothing is blocking the fan.
- Spin test: Rotate the fan blades by hand. If stiff or noisy, the motor bearings may be worn.
- Check wiring: Inspect the fan harness and connector for damage or discoloration. Reseat the connector.
- Replace fan motor: If the fan does not run when the compressor is on (after cleaning and reseating), replace it with a Cecotec-compatible condenser fan motor.
- Test: Restore power and verify that the fan runs whenever the compressor operates and that E9 clears.
