• Check basic operation: Listen for compressor and condenser fan noise when the unit is plugged in. If both are silent while interior lights work, suspect a compressor/start issue.
• Verify temperature settings: Ensure the fridge and freezer are not set to 'OFF' or vacation mode.
• Inspect rear components: Remove the rear lower cover and check if the compressor is hot to the touch (use caution) and if the condenser fan runs.
• Start device check: On models with a separate start relay, gently remove it from the compressor and shake it. A rattling sound may indicate a failed relay.
• Do not attempt sealed system repair: If the compressor runs but there is no cooling or only a small section of the evaporator gets cold, there may be a refrigerant leak or blockage. Contact an authorized Cecotec service center for sealed system diagnosis and repair.
