Possible Causes
Failed ice maker water inlet valve, Clogged water filter restricting flow, Kinked or frozen water supply line, Ice maker fill sensor failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and shut off the household water supply to the refrigerator before servicing.
This code indicates a problem with water flow to the ice maker.
- Check water filter: If the filter is older than 6 months or water flow is weak, replace the Dacor-approved water filter.
- Inspect water line: Verify the line at the back of the refrigerator is not kinked. In some models, the line in the door can freeze; check for ice blockage by feeling for hard, frozen sections.
- Test valve: Listen for the valve when the ice maker calls for water. If you do not hear it and ER 26 persists, the valve may be defective.
- Replace inlet valve: Access the valve at the rear bottom of the unit and replace it if it fails continuity or mechanical tests.
