• Inverter models: If your Danby uses an inverter board mounted near the compressor, inspect it for burnt components or discoloration. Verify that it is receiving proper DC supply from the main board (refer to service manual for voltages).
• Compressor test: With power disconnected, measure resistance between compressor terminals. Values should be finite and not shorted to ground. If windings are open or shorted, the compressor is faulty and requires professional replacement.
• Replace defective components: Install a new OEM Danby start relay/PTC or inverter board as needed. If the compressor and start components test good but E7 persists, the main control board may be defective.
