Possible Causes
Incorrect sensor configuration on replacement PCB, Multiple sensor faults detected simultaneously, Unplugged sensor connector after service, Firmware mismatch with model
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator before handling internal wiring or boards.
Steps:
- 1. Review recent work: If a control board or sensor was recently replaced, verify that all sensors (refrigerator NTC, freezer NTC, evaporator NTCs, ambient NTC) are connected to the correct sockets.
- 2. Inspect all sensor connectors: Access the main PCB and confirm that no sensor plug is loose or in the wrong position. Refer to the wiring diagram on the rear panel if available.
- 3. Check for pinched cables: Look along the cabinet pass-throughs for crushed or cut sensor wires, especially where panels were removed.
- 4. Reset the control: After correcting any wiring issues, unplug the unit for 5 minutes, then reconnect and monitor for EF.
- 5. PCB configuration: If a generic replacement PCB was installed, it may require model-specific configuration. This must be done with service tools by an authorized technician.
