Refrigerator displays FZ error and freezer temperature control may not respond.

Safety first: Unplug the unit before accessing sensors or controls.

• Check actual freezer temperature: Use a thermometer to confirm if the freezer is at or near setpoint.
• Test freezer thermistor: Access the sensor and measure resistance. Replace if out of specification.
• Inspect damper (if present): On some Electrolux bottom-freezer models, a damper controls cold air flow. Ensure it opens and closes properly and is not blocked by ice.
• Control board: If sensor and damper are good, the main control board may be misreading freezer conditions and require replacement.
