Refrigerator displays SH and may overcool or undercool; temperature display may be incorrect.

Safety first: Disconnect power before testing.

• Locate the indicated sensor: Use the tech sheet to identify which thermistor is reporting SH.
• Inspect for moisture: Remove the sensor cover and check for condensation or water in the connector. Dry thoroughly and reseat.
• Measure resistance: At room temperature, a shorted thermistor will read near 0 Ω. Replace the thermistor if it reads extremely low resistance.
• Check wiring: Look for pinched or rubbed-through insulation causing a short to ground or between wires. Repair as needed.
• Control board: If the sensor and wiring are good but SH persists, the main control board’s sensor input may be shorted internally and require replacement.
