Possible Causes
Warped or torn door gasket, Misaligned door hinges, Food items preventing full closure, Sagging door due to heavy items
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No electrical work is required for gasket checks.
- Inspect gaskets: Look for tears, gaps, or hardened sections of the Electrolux door gaskets.
- Paper test: Close the door on a sheet of paper and gently pull. If it slides out easily, the seal is weak in that area.
- Warm and reshape: Use a hair dryer on low to gently warm warped gasket areas and reshape them by hand. Do not overheat.
- Adjust hinges: If the door is sagging, adjust the top and bottom hinges according to the service manual.
- Replace gasket: If damaged, remove the old gasket from the door liner channel and press in the new Electrolux gasket, ensuring it seats fully.
