Error code E10 appears and the ice maker or water dispenser does not function correctly on Fagor side-by-side or French-door models with ice/water.

Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator and close the water supply valve before working on the ice/water system.

Steps:

• 1. Check water supply: Ensure the household water valve feeding the refrigerator is fully open and that the supply hose is not kinked.
• 2. Inspect ice maker area: Remove the ice bin and inspect the ice maker for jammed ice cubes or frost buildup. Clear any obstructions.
• 3. Check for frozen fill tube: The small tube feeding water into the ice maker can freeze. If blocked with ice, thaw it gently with a hair dryer on low.
• 4. Test water inlet valve: At the rear bottom of the fridge, locate the dual or triple water inlet valve. With power disconnected, remove the connectors and measure coil resistance. An open coil indicates a bad valve that must be replaced.
• 5. Door switch check: Verify that the freezer door switch operates correctly (light turns off when door is closed). A faulty switch can prevent ice maker operation.
• 6. Replace faulty components: Install a new ice maker assembly or water inlet valve as required, using Fagor-approved parts. Reconnect water and check for leaks.
• 7. Reset: Restore power, turn the ice maker on (if it has a switch), and allow several hours for ice production to resume and for E10 to clear.
