Error code E12 appears and the refrigerator may not respond correctly to temperature setting changes.

Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator before removing the control panel or display.

Steps:

• 1. Inspect the panel surface: Check for visible cracks, liquid spills, or stuck buttons on the front control panel.
• 2. Power reset: Disconnect power for 10 minutes, then reconnect. If E12 returns immediately when pressing certain buttons, the keypad is likely faulty.
• 3. Remove the panel: Unscrew or unclip the control panel and gently pull it forward to access the keypad membrane and PCB.
• 4. Check connections: Reseat the ribbon cable between the keypad and the display/control PCB.
• 5. Dry moisture: If there are signs of condensation, dry the area thoroughly and ensure the door seals are intact to prevent future moisture ingress.
• 6. Replace keypad/UI PCB: If specific buttons remain unresponsive or E12 persists, replace the keypad membrane or the entire user interface PCB with the correct Fagor part.
• 7. Reassemble and test: Refit the panel, restore power, and verify that all buttons respond and the error code is cleared.
