Possible Causes
Corrupted defrost timing algorithm in main PCB, Faulty EEPROM or memory on control board, Incorrect sensor feedback due to wiring issues, Previous incorrect board replacement or configuration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before accessing the control board or sensors.
Steps:
- 1. Verify sensors and heater: Before blaming the logic, confirm that the defrost sensors (NTC, thermostat) and heater are functioning and wired correctly (see E4 and E5 procedures).
- 2. Power reset: Unplug the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes to reset the control logic.
- 3. Check board part number: Ensure the installed main PCB matches the exact Fagor model. An incorrect board can cause E19.
- 4. Replace main PCB: If all defrost components are good and E19 persists, replace the main control board with the correct, updated part number. Follow any configuration steps in the service documentation.
